Dear Leader,
It’s hard to ignore the turbulence in our nation right now—politically, culturally, and spiritually. It seems as though everywhere we look, there’s division, anxiety, and uncertainty. In times like these, we can be tempted to respond with more noise, to react with hatred, or even to retreat from confrontation.
As I observe our country and our churches, I keep coming back to a simple, profound statement from Patrick Morley: “No real transformation comes apart from the Word of God.”
At the same time, the book Lead With Prayer is challenging me to cultivate a prayer-filled life. I am reminded that God’s Word and prayer aren’t just boxes to check as a Christian—they’re the foundation for real, lasting change.
Programs, events, and clever ideas have their place, but if we’re not rooted in Scripture and dependent on God in prayer, we’re missing the source of true transformation.
The times we’re living in are both challenging and ripe with opportunity. People are searching for hope and meaning. Men in our churches—and in our communities—need leaders who are alert, prepared, bold, and willing to engage in meaningful relationships.
This is our moment to step up, to lead with truth and grace, and to point others to the only source that can truly change hearts: Jesus, revealed through His Word and encountered in prayer.
Let’s be men who don’t just talk about transformation, but who experience it ourselves and invite others into it. My prayer is that we would be known as leaders who are anchored in Scripture, fueled by prayer, and ready to disciple men for such a time as this.
In Christ,
